The impact of VAT changes on eParking pricing
The general value-added tax (VAT) in Finland will change from 24 percent to 25.5 percent as of September. As a result of the change, the VAT rate for electricity and parking prices in the eParking system will change to the new VAT rate as of September 1, 2024.

New public high-performance chargers for electric vehicles in Tampere
Two 180 kW high-power chargers for electric vehicles will be installed in the yard of Tampere University of Applied Sciences along Kuntokatu for public charging. Charging can be paid for using the eParking application, and the high-power chargers will also have a card payment feature. The eParking application is an application developed by IGL-Technologies Oy in Tampere for paying for charging and parking. The high-power chargers will be supplied by UTU Oy, and the chargers will be installed by Vera in Tampere.

The charging of electric cars in housing associations and parking lots increased almost tenfold in two years. The Tampere-based eParking network already has over 65,000 charging points in housing associations and parking lots across Finland. The charging volumes of electric cars using the network have increased almost tenfold from 2021 to 2023.
