Kiinteistö Oy Tampere Seponpark: Charging an electric car with a monthly fee
Tampereen Sähkölaitos solves the charging of hybrid and fully electric cars Lähisähkö Lataus service. The service offered by the electricity utility makes it easier for properties to make decisions, as the service model does not require large investments in equipment. This is a service that takes into account not only chargers but also car heaters, as the solution uses eTolppa. Housing companies do not need to handle the billing themselves, and residents can order a charging device with the power they need.
In Tampere, Kiinteistö Oy Seponpark has charging points for over 200 cars. The user can choose a service from warming up the car to basic charging. We interviewed Seponpark user Jari Räikköstä, . He uses Local Electric Charging basic charging and a Type2 plug.
According to Räikkönen, the current solution is good for the motorist, and the charging power is sufficient for a hybrid car. The service is also fair for the motorist, as the motorist pays for the electricity consumed according to the property's pricing. As part of the Local Electric Charging service, our eParking service operates, which allows you to monitor electricity consumption and handle parking and charging-related payments.
Räikkönen owns a share in the property: If he sells it, the next owner can change the parking space service to whatever he wants, such as car heating. There is no separate charge for changing the service with the Local Electric Charging service. Räikkönen also emphasizes how easy it is for the property when an external operator handles everything from parking area management to billing.

According to Taskinen, our eParking service increases the agility and ease of the Local Electric Charging service. “Our customers can use our charging service practically immediately after installing the charging devices, which makes the service hassle-free,” Taskinen says.

Update: Tampereen Sähkölaitos changed its name to Tampereen Energia on 28 August 2023 ( press release ). All SmartNRG Charging and Local Electricity Charging service contracts were transferred as such to Tampereen Energia's subsidiary Tampereen Vera on 1 April 2025 ( press release ).
