P-daddy arc: Modern parking house for electric cars and cyclists
The P-Raari arc in Kuopio is an excellent example of a modern parking house designed to serve electric car drivers as versatile as possible. This six-level, 600-seat parking house is strategically located close to the Savilahti campus, which operates Savo Vocational College, the University of Eastern Finland and Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The area is also located in the Kuopio University Hospital and Savo Science Park, where there are about 200 companies. In the future, housing will also be built in the area, and the number of total, employee and students in the area will be estimated to rise to 35,000. Thus, the parking house serves both employees and students and future residents.
There are 300 charging devices in the P-daddy, all of which operate with the EParking application. Charging devices are of different power, and as demand increases, their number can be easily increased.
Slow Download (3 kW) - Most of the charging devices are intended for a long time parking, such as a day of work or study day. These devices have Suko plugs that can also be used to heat the car in winter.
Medium -speed charging (22 kW) - 20 more efficient charging points (UTU EVBOX) for those who need faster charging.
Quick charging (100 kW) - four quick chargers (Kempower) for quick charge.
Pricing is staggered so that slow charging is cheaper than medium -speed or quick charging. In this way, long -standing motorists prefer slower charging, leaving faster chargers available to those in need of fast charging.
For cyclists safe parking solutions
The P-daddy also serves cyclists by offering two separate bike parks with a total of 200 seats:
130-seat general bike park
70-seat paid, locked and traveling bike park
The bike parks are located inside the parking house and have a separate entrance. A safe parking solution encourages commuting and cycling.
Four Kempower Quick Laaters serve customers who need to quickly charge the car's batteries. / Bike parks have their own entrance.
Ecology has also been taken into account in the parking house. Solar panels have been located on the roof of the car park, the energy of which is used to maintain the operations of the car park. Electric car chargers also utilize the electricity generated by solar panels. The P dad is completely digital and is perfect for the growing needs of the 2020s and the Savilahti area. The modern car park allows versatile charging of electric cars and also supports sustainable movement in the form of cycling.
